Well it looks like the good people at Virgin Airlines had us in mind when launching their new daily nonstop flights from San Francisco to Honolulu.

Monday, Nov 2nd the island style themed SFO gate included hula dancing, Polynesian drummers, an Airbnb tropical station, tasty treats and more as the perfect backdrop to its inaugural flight – which also included some fancy footwork by Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson.

Branson was joined by Jonathan Mildenhall, Chief marketing Officer at Airbnb highiting their expanded partnership program. A first for Airbnb, Virgin America travelers can earn elevate points for every Airbnb reservation they make. This is MAJOR and right on time as people create comfortable travel experiences.

Congrats to the workaholics who made the first flight, and Make-A-Wish Hawai’i who will receive $100k in cash + in-kind contributions from Virgin America & Airbnb.
